UW Integrated Specimen Portal

 

The UW Integrated Specimen Portal is the outcome of a UW2020 initiative proposed by the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Natural History Museums Council. [Disclaimer: We are putting the finishing touches on the Specimen Portal website. Therefore you may notice a few missing bits when you visit.]

The Council comprises the directors and curators of UW-Madison’s Anthropology Collections, Wisconsin State Herbarium, the University of Wisconsin Geology Museum, the UW Zoological Museum, and the Wisconsin Insect Research Collection.

“This portal is a new shared research tool made publicly available to constituents across the campus, throughout the state, and beyond. It takes advantage of more than two centuries worth of collective knowledge and professional expertise across different divisions and departments at UW-Madison.”
